3-year PhD at Harper Adams University, Edgmond, United Kingdom (2019-2022 experimental work): Potential of biopesticides and optimising the use of conventional insecticides for the control of cabbage stem flea beetle (Psylliodes chrysocephala). Thesis submitted in September 2023 and awarded in February 2024.

2-year MSc in Plant Production Quality Management, Université d’Avignon, France, specialised in “Plant Production Engineering” (2017-2019).

One semester at York University, Toronto, Canada, as an exchange student (4 months; 09/2016 to 12/2016).

3-year BSc in Life and Earth Sciences, Université d’Avignon, France, specialised in “Plant Production Engineering” (2014-2017).

French baccalauréat (A-level) with honours (06/2014).

Languages:

Native speaker in French, fluent English. Learning Chinese (Mandarin) and British Sign Language.

Work experience:

Administrator (Higher Horizons; 12/2023 - present): support outreach officers with school delivery and administrative tasks, hub’s finances management, bookings. I also deliver entomology taster lectures to pupils schooled in Staffordshirea and Shropshire.

Associate Editor for magazine Antenna (voluntary position, Royal Entomological Society; 08/2023 - present).

Strategic Outreach Officer (Higher Horizons; 09/2022 - 12/2023): build and maintain a relationship with the local schools and colleges and deliver activities to their students (Year 7 to 13) from backgrounds under-represented in higher education (from low socioeconomic areas, BAME, disabled, refugees, care experienced students, etc. to increase their knowledge of higher education (university, college, apprenticeship).

Teaching assistantship at Harper Adams University for the MSc module Experimental Design and Analysis (10 and 11/2021, and 01/2022): helping students with R and statistics.

6-month work placement at the Institut Méditerranéen de Biodiversité et d’Ecologie (IMBE) and the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA) (Avignon, France) (02/2019-07/2019): study of arthropods movements between crops and grassy strips in an agroforestry system.

4-month work placement at Biobest Nederland (De Lier, The Netherlands) in biocontrol (04/2018-07/2018): control of greenhouse whiteflies on strawberries with predatory mites.

7-month contract at Epicurium, museum about fruits and vegetables in Montfavet, France (04/2017 to 11/2017): during the weekends and public holidays, I welcomed visitors and conducted activities about bees and pollination.

3-month work placement at Rijk Zwaan France, in Aramon, France (05/2017 to 07/2017): integrated in the tomato team to work on a genomic selection project.

1-month work placement at Le Naturoptère, in Sérignan-du-Comtat, France (06/2016 to 07/2016): required to classify and identify the butterflies of their scientific collection, and also prepare and spread dried specimens.

1-year weekly assistantship at the University of Avignon laboratories (2015-2016): I helped the searchers of the Institut Méditerranéen de Biodiversité et d’Écologie (Mediterranean Biodiversity and Ecology Institute) in their studies of the auxiliary insect Forficula auricularia in apple orchards.
